IPAM enables you to organize managed DHCP and DNS servers into logical groups. For example, you might organize servers geographically or by business division. Logical groups are defined by selecting the grouping criteria from built-in or user defined custom fields. IPAM supports a nesting hierarchy when defining a logical group. Servers map into a group based on the value of the custom field assigned to that server. You can create new custom fields and values, and assign desired custom configurations to a server . For DHCP servers, custom configurations can be assigned by editing the server properties from the DHCP server properties view. You can choose DNS and DHCP server properties view, DHCP server properties view, DNS server properties view, and DHCP scope properties view by selecting the Server Type and View fields.
