If someone opens the workbook in read-only mode and changes it, it must be saved with a different name. A password is case sensitive. If you lose the password, you cannot change the workbook unless you save it with a different name. Affects: only the active workbook. Accepts: 1 to 15 letters, numbers, and symbols.
