IPAM enables DNS zone monitoring for DNS forward lookup zones and DNS reverse lookup zones. Zone status is based on zone events that are collected by IPAM. When you select Forward Lookup Zone in the lower navigation tree, IPAM displays a list of all forward lookup zones that are hosted on managed DNS servers. The status of each zone is summarized for all authoritative servers, and the duration the zone has been in the current state is displayed. A list of all managed servers that are authoritative for each zone is also displayed with server IP address and availability. . IPAM provides a list of all zone events from the server so that you can troubleshoot a problem with zone status. IPAM also displaysIPv4 and IPv6 reverse lookup zones hosted on managed DNS servers and displays the authoritative servers for these reverse DNS zones.
