This template will help the user define and manage the key components included in a strong product launch plan: Clearly defined sales objectives; assured sales channel readiness; promotional functions in place (public relations, marketing, and advertising); and resources to track, monitor, and account for execution. A product launch is typically performed under the guidance and direction of the marketing organization and the product manager for the product. All other departments will play a supporting role in the launch plan and schedule. For this reason, the majority of the activities in this template will focus on marketing activities. Additional plans will be required for the work performed in other departments to prepare the product for launch.
