Terminology: Customer = The person insured by us (we are the insurance company) Claimant = The person whose property was damaged by our customer (Note: This could be an injured party or their legal representation.) Agent = Our local agent or a representative on the claims phone line Estimator = This can be an internal "drive in claims" office or a body shop or windshield repair specialist Adjustor = Internal person who manages the claim after an estimation has been performed Auditor = Member of our internal review - performs random checks Repairer = Shop performing the repair Salvage Yard = Pays for unrecoverable vehicles
