Changing the shared services provider accessed by child farms has the following effects.
  • All child farms with Web applications associated to this farm will consume shared services from the new parent SSP.
  • If a child farm has marked the Parent SSP as Default, all Web applications on the child farm associated to Default will automatically switch to use the new SSP.
  • SSP administrators may need to be added to the new shared services admin site.
Note: Service level configurations for the associated Web applications must be manually moved to the new Parent SSP.
Click OK to change the Parent SSP. Click Cancel to return without changing the Parent SSP.
