Microsoft Services for NFS uses several ports, each of which must be open on Windows Firewall and external firewalls. The Windows Firewall will be automatically configured when Microsoft Services for NFS is installed, but you may need to perform additional configuration if you are using an external firewall. Depending on the identity mapping solution you use, you may also need to open ports for Active Directory and User Name Mapping.
