The AD FS deployment advisor walks you through the steps to deploy an on-premises Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) infrastructure that authenticates users for %BRAND_OFFICE_365_SHORT% services. After you've set up AD FS, your AD FS federation server farm processes Active Directory client requests using single sign-on (SSO) authentication. A load-balanced AD FS federation server proxy relays the requests and responds back and forth between Internet clients and the internal AD FS environment.
