1) Check to see that the recovery farm is online and running. 2) Check that all features, Web templates and language packs present on the protected farm are also present on the specified recovery farm. 3) It is possible that the item you want to recover is not present in this version of the content database. Use a different recovery point for recovery. 4) Run "ConfigureSharePoint.exe -SetTempPath" on the front-end web server to modify the environment variable TEMP to a location with sufficient space. 5) If unattached item-level recovery is used, check to see that farm admins have adequate permissions to create Unattached Content database on the specified SQL Instance.
