A Visual Studio Tools for Office customization (managed code extensions) can be attached to an existing Word document or Excel workbook. The document or workbook can be in any file format that is supported by Visual Studio Tools for Office. If you enable this policy setting, Word and Excel will not load managed code extensions. If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, Word and Excel will load managed code extensions automatically.
