This policy setting configures remote management of the client by using WS-Management, a Web services-based protocol for remote management (compatibility-mode) of operating systems and devices. When targeting Windows Vista or Windows 7, this setting effects the "Windows Remote Management" rule group, which is the sole group for Windows Remote Management. In targeting Windows 8, the meaning of this setting changes to target only the "Windows Remote Management (Compatibility)" rule group, which is one of two rule groups for Windows Remote Management.
