Note   You can't use Windows Easy Transfer to transfer files and settings from a computer that is running Windows XP Starter. Instead, on your old computer, you'll need to select the files that you want to transfer and then copy them to a CD, DVD, USB flash drive, or external hard disk. After you've copied the files, you can manually transfer them to your new computer. If your old and new computers are connected to the same network, you can also copy files to a network location, and then copy them from the network location to your new computer. If you're not sure which files you need to copy—for example, to transfer your e-mail inbox or program settings to the new computer—check the Help for the program to try to find the file names and locations on your old computer.
