Implements the File Server Resource Manager protocol for management of storage resources. It controls the management of quotas, file screens, storage reports, file management tasks, and file classification. The File Server Resource Manager service provides access to these capabilities through scriptable COM providers. When the File Server Resource Manager service is not running, quotas, file screens, storage reports, file management tasks, and classification will not be active or enforced.
