Driver data is anonymously uploaded from these transfers and then used by Microsoft to help users find the drivers they need. The Driver Feedback Server asks the client's permission to upload the computer's hardware profile and then search the Internet for information about how to obtain the appropriate driver or get support. If this service stops, Microsoft will not have access to the driver data.
