WMI allows script-based management of numerous operating system components including disk drives, event logs, network adapter settings, printers, services, system restore, and more. The following server roles can also be managed through WMI: Cluster Server, Domain Controller, DNS Server, Exchange Server, FTP Server, Print Server, SMS Site Servers, SQL Server, Remote Desktop Session Host and Web Server (IIS). This option does not need to be selected if you manage this server using a remote desktop session.
