This domain controller currently performs the PDC emulator master role. If you remove active directory from this computer, operations performed by the primary domain controller in an Active Directory domain, such as Group Policy updates and password resets for non-Active Directory accounts, will not function properly. Before continuing, transfer the PDC emulator master role to a domain controller that is in the same domain as this domain controller. If it is not possible to transfer the role, first remove Active Directory from this computer, and then use Ntdsutil.exe to seize the role. The domain controller that seizes the role should be a direct, intrasite replication partner that is in the same domain as this domain controller. Important: The PDC emulator master role is the only role that can be seized before removing Active Directory. For all other operations master roles, you must remove Active Directory before seizing the role. For more information about transferring and seizing operations master roles, see article 255504 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=255504).
