The Setup wizard upgrades the configuration database and the Central Administration Web site. After this wizard completes, all remaining databases and Web sites will be upgraded in a separate upgrade process, which can be monitored from the upgraded Central Administration Web site. During this entire process, the environment will be unavailable for regular use. It is recommended that you run the pre-upgrade checker tool (stsadm.exe -o preupgradecheck) before you start the upgrade process. This tool allows you to identify common errors that might be encountered. For more information about this tool, click Help. If you do not want to perform an in-place upgrade at this time, close this window to exit Setup.
