To install a supported version of Microsoft SQL Server that includes the Full-text search feature, and verify that the current user is granted the sysadmin role to access the SQL Server instance. To download and install a version of SQL with Advanced Services for the Full-text search feature, go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=823905. If using SQL Server 2012, Service Pack 3 or later is required. If using SQL Server 2014, Service Pack 2 or later is required. To upgrade an installation of SQL Server 2014 to Service Pack 2, go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=828000.

Note: Setup connects to the SQL Server instance to obtain the SQL version number. If setup is unable to connect, it'll fail. In most cases, setup will fail because the Windows service for the SQL Server instance isn't running, or because the user running setup doesn't have permission to query the database.
