The Federation Services Uniform Resource Locator (URL) determines the location of the resource Federation Service where authentication requests that are made to any Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS)-enabled Windows token-based applications (that are hosted on this Web server) will be sent for validation. After you type a URL, you can go to the specific Web site, virtual directory, or Web application to edit resource-specific settings and to enable the AD FS Windows token-based agent on the resource. This URL will be used for all Web sites and Web applications on this computer where the AD FS Windows NT token-based agent is enabled.
