Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) allows administrators to manage the download and installation of updates from the Microsoft Update Web site to the local network. By setting up hierarchies of WSUS servers and WSUS client computer groups, administrators can download and test updates in controlled conditions, schedule updates to be installed at the most convenient times, create reports on update installation and compliance levels, and receive e-mail notification of newly downloaded updates and installation status.
