What Is It?
The Profit Chart Wizard helps you build a profit chart for mining models, based on test data from the mining structure, an Excel table, an Excel range, or an external data source. A profit chart displays the estimated profit increase associated with using a mining model to determine which customers a company should contact in a business scenario. The Y-axis of the chart represents the profit, while the X-axis represents the percentage of the population that the company contacted. A typical profit chart shows an increase in profits up to an inflection point, after which profits decrease as more of the population is contacted.

What Does It Do?
The wizard helps you to choose a model to evaluate from the list of models available on the server, or a mining structure. If you choose a mining structure, then all models in the structure will be evaluated. You can also choose the output column of models to be evaluated, the target state of the predictable column, and the test data source. If you select new test data, the wizard enables you to define mappings between the test data columns and the model columns. You can also define the costs and profits associated with your business scenario.
